EVERYONE IN THE BATTLE FIELD
PART 2 Cont.….. (1 Sam.17:1-58 (NIV)
Everybody kills either physically or spiritually. There are so many ways to kill when it comes to physical killing as we all know them. If you kill someone physically, you are committing murder which can cost you your life but spiritual killing I call it “VENGEANCE” nobody knows who killed, it could be a demonic attack or God’s divine intervention.
Has it ever occurred to you or to
your close friends or family that the person you were talking with or saw
previous day, died the next morning? Do you think that’s ordinary? No…! Someone
prayed somewhere either for vengeance or to be delivered from the hands of his
or her oppressors or someone sent an evil arrow to attack.
Everything happening in this life
is strategically orchestrated, done and dusted in the spiritual realm before
the physical manifestation either by God or by the devil. You have to
understand that in this life that the spiritual realm controls the physical.
And that nothing happens by surprise or mistake. The victory of the day is determined
by night while you are snoring on your bed, men and women who are vigilant and
desperate about having victory and success are busy engaging in a fierce battle
and getting themselves ready for the day.
Do you think they are playing? No…!
They are wrestling with their destinies to deliver answers and to be delivered
from any hands of principalities and powers. Someone will say why are they
praying like that, praying and be sweating, demonstrating with anger, stressing
him or herself? The answer is SIMPLE, “It’s because what they are going through
or facing, you do not go through it”. It is not a sweet or nice experience to
be oppressed by the hands of the wicked ones. It is someone who puts on a shoe
that knows where it pains him or her.
As a repented child of God; when
you pray a vengeance prayer, God answers…( Matthew 11:12) He will be wary about
it to advert every judgments, afflictions and destroy your enemies leaving you
with victories…. (1 John 3:8).
When you pray and God answers,
fight and defeat your adversary, so who contributes to the defeat or
destruction of that enemy? Of course you know the answer. But God intervene to
take him/her out for your sake. Now in case you may be asking yourself right
now am I a murderer, should I report myself to the police? If you are thinking about
that, let me ask you, do you think that if your enemies successfully kill you
with demonic powers; he/she will report himself/herself to the police?
When the enemy torments you and
deny you peace, involve God. God kills for His people. When the enemy is
oppressing you, it is you the adversary troubles and you know where it stings
you most. So invite God and of course you know God is a Mighty Man in Battle.
There He comes in when you call upon Him for help (Psalm 50:15, Jeremiah 33:3,
Zech 13:9, Psalm 91:15) and he will destroy the devil and his works for your
sake.
Will you now love to sit back and
watch one useless man somewhere destroys you without fulfilling the will of God
for your life? I don’t think so. So keep
on fighting.
HOW DO WE KILL SPIRITUALLY?
As much as we have several ways of
killing people physically, so do we have it in spiritual realm. One of the primary human weapons we use
frequently and sometimes we don’t even understand it spiritual consequences is
our “tongue” (Proverbs 18:21, James
3:8). As small as the tongue is, it has the power to kill and to make alive
especially when you understand how and when to use it. In the beginning God
himself created everything with just calling them forth into existence with the
power of His words “Let there be” and so it was.( Gen. 1:3-27).
My mentor once said that the
sacrifices you see at the T-junctions or at the river banks especially in
Nigeria is not just about those items you see but it’s about the power of the
word behind the sacrifice. To make it worse, some people do eat and drink it
and you may be asking why are they eating what was meant for an evil spirit?
Now know this, everybody knows what
is driving them or what is in them. Some people may eat those things and
survive while others may eat it and be afflicted or die. So if you are not
fortify enough spiritually, you don’t have what it takes, you can’t kick it or
scatter it, talk about eating or drinking it like many people do. They will be adverse
and dire consequences when the beings that supposed to receive the sacrifice will
come to check on you (your level of spirituality) why and what guts do you have
to destroy or eat their sacrifice.
Secondly, divine weapons “the name of Jesus”, “the blood of Jesus” and “the power of testimony”. Revelation
12:11. Many people believe that the name of Jesus, His blood, His testimonies,
His authority and power is just to save the sinners alone. NO, these weapons
fight, kill and destroy the works of the enemies of God’s people. So all these
names you call upon can either keep you that is, work for you or not work for
you that is destroy you.
Do you know why? When you are a
sinner, your prayers can never be answered. Because satan the devil is always
there presenting your sins and accusing you before God. So your prayers are abomination
before God.
Trust me when this weapons are not
working for you, you are open for an attacks and destruction. Can God fight
and kill for His people? The answer is YES! But God cannot fight for a sinner.
Until you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour; His name
cannot work for you.
Enough of this our “I don’t want
trouble attitude”. Speak up! A close mouth is a close destiny. People of God
you must know how and when to talk back to every devil, face him, force him to
take back his words with shame. If you don’t talk back, he will silent you.
When he silent you; it shows that he has forced you to accept what you are not.
He has given you a new identity that is not the will of God for you; an
identity of fear, weakness, failure, sickness and death. I think this is where
our anchor scripture “1 Sam.17:1-58
(NIV)” will help you understand this paragraph perfectly what I am talking
about.
THE BATTLE BETWEEN DAVID AND GOLIATH
The battle between David and Goliath is a perfect example of how a war
front totally looks like. In a war front your opposition will attack you with
words to instigate anger or rage in you to fight even if you don’t want to
fight. He will also instigate fear to sense your weakness. So what do you do?
You counter it and also instigate in him a greater fear because your opponent
will never say something pleasing; but something that will make you fury and
wanting to destroy him or runaway before the battle begins or something that
will make you feel how stronger they are that you can’t defeat them. This is
exactly what the devil does to every Child of God who doesn’t know and
understand the power they have in Christ Jesus.
Now take a look at the story of
David and Goliath in 1 Sam.17:1-58 (NIV). In
verse 43 Goliath said to David “Am I
a dog that you come at me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his
gods. David quickly countered and confirmed him (Goliath) with his own
words telling him that’s who he is. In
verse 44 David didn’t close his mouth when he was confronting Goliath, he
spoke back confronting him saying “Come
here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and the wild animals!”.
This is intimidating and fearful.
David kept on speaking because he
has the word in him. In verse 45 David said
to the Philistine, “You come against me
with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the
Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. In verse 46 he continued saying “This day the Lord will deliver you into my
hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will
give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals,
and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. In verse 47 “All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear
that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you
into our hands.” David defended the name of his God, with what he believes
and God defended him.
From what David said to Goliath,
the Philistine didn’t see David as a kid anymore with such powerful and
provocative words of battle so he attacked David.
In verse 48 “As the
Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line
to meet him. In verse 49 David again attack back “Reaching into his
bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the
forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
And in verse 50 “So David
triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his
hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him. That was a total God’s
divine intervention. As children of God, we need more of the Word of Grace than
jumping from one pillar to post looking for just breakthrough, signs and
wonders. Why searching for what you already have? All you have to do is to stay
put, focus, maintain your position and stay connected.
God Bless You!
