USING YOUR BEAUTY TO IMPACT LIVES
Your beauty is a nature and it’s in the nature of every man. No man is actually ugly for God created man in His likeness. If you say to someone "you are ugly", it shows that you are abusing the nature of God. Everybody has one unique thing that makes them special and who they are. Some are temporal and others are permanent, in built and can also be adapted.
The temporal features like beauty, size, money, character/attitude and many more can change with time. Beauty can fade, your size can increase or decrease, money come and gone and people can change their character/attitude with time and though many other factors can also contributes to such a change. But mostly it could be money, wealth or environment.
When all these things are no longer there, will you still be able to love talk about impacting others?
One of the things that affect our lives so badly from living the life of impact is “Ourselves”. Always “Me, I & You” these three pronouns will never allow us to be impactful to others. Until we are selfless and look beyond ourselves, we can never live the life of impact.
This forces me to define the word “Love”. Love is an anchor to living and impactful life. If you don’t have a heart for others, you can never live a life of impact. Love is not all about you alone or all about our love ones or families. Love is loving everybody including your enemies.
Love is when others joy and happiness is more paramount than ours. That is love.
I grew up hearing a saying that says “A man’s food is another man’s poison” I agreed with this”. What you think is your best can be someone’s history. And what you cherish can easily fade away because God can chose to take it away especially the way you use it to treat others.
Another saying says “Beauty is in the eye of a beholder” this saying to me might be true to some extent or not. In my view to this second saying, gives rise to this writing.
When you hear the word BEAUTY, what actually comes to your mind first?
The physical appearance right?
If yours is the physical appearance mine is the inward man; talking about character, attitude, lifestyle, how accommodating, level of reasoning and understanding before adding the physical appearance.
Someone may be wondering what concerns beauty with the word impact? True beauty comes from the heart and it is only a man who looks carefully can see it if truly beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When you are thinking about beauty, you should think about the content, the heart and lifestyle.
Lets bring it back home. Living a life of impact starts from the heart and it is only a beautiful and selfless heart can impact others without regretting do so.
Life is beautiful because God made it so still Life is not all about being beautiful or handsome, achievements, being rich or poor. These things fade with time. The BIG question is, HOW IMPACTFUL ARE YOU, especially to your love ones, people around you and to the society at large?
When living a life of impact; it’s actually showcasing how beautiful our hearts are, the true beautiful nature of our hearts, empathy and feelings for others. Living a life of impact will determine how beautiful or ugly (evil) a man is. If you ask me what kind of a woman I will love to spend the rest of my life with, I’ll simply tell you, a woman of impact with a selfless service to God and to humanity.
Use your beauty, handsomeness and resources to be a blessing to others instead of using your beauty, handsomeness or resources to lure and deceive people to sin to derive pleasure; impact on people positively.
Impacting lives is the greatest investment. Investing in human beings pays. Sometimes it may not yield instant benefits, but with time, just a little longer, it will come in such an unbelievable way. Let love and extend alms to one another. It pays.
GOD BLESS YOU!
